Repositioning a State-Owned Bank Ahead of Privatisation

A state-owned bank preparing for partial privatisation needed to strengthen its profile and credibility with international investors and development partners ahead of a potential change in its ownership structure.

We repositioned the bank as a local leader in sustainable finance, working with its leadership and government shareholder to align the bank's commercial narrative with the state's own priorities, and ran a profile-building campaign targeted at international development institutions and investors.

The bank's credibility as a sustainability-focused institution was firmly established, and the engagement culminated in a formal cooperation agreement with a development finance institution to mobilise future investment.
